WOOO! I DID IT! On Saturday, 19 December 2009, I graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Family Sciences from the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University! What a day! Not only was it Kent’s first snow of the season, but Ethan and his parents made the long trek from State College, and even further, Pendleton, Oregon, to celebrate the occasion! The ceremony was short and sweet, only lasting a mere 90 minutes. Vibrant poinsettias lined the blue walkways and gold Kent State emblems dressed the candidate chairs, program guides, and stage beautifully. ‘Tis the season to celebrate! I eagerly waited for my name to be read aloud before crossing the stage. I was accompanied by a HUGE grin of happiness and a tremendous feat of accomplishment! I DID IT! After the ceremony, we toured Kent State, grabbed lunch to go, and headed eastward to Happy Valley. A quick, but lovely goodbye to Ohio.
We are now back in Nittany Lion land! YAYAYA! Here, Ethan and I have a cozy setup with friends, Grigore — the dragon, and coffee-makin’ Seth! I look forward to many PA adventures, climbing trips, and BIG train hugs, but before beginning new Pennsylvania adventures, I must thank the wonderful people and friends that enhanced my graduate experience. Cheers to each of you and thank you for your endless support, friendship, and a lifetime of wonderful memories.
Wishing you a Happy Santa Holiday.
