Yup. It did. Got up early, got the avalanche bulletin squared away and headed to the Pass with Robyn’s new splitboard in tow. Worked 8 hours on it yesterday to get it done before the holiday trip back to OR/ID. Super stoked on how it turned out and so is Robyn. She was a natural today. Skinned up Nick’s to the base of the glacier below Berlin Wall and had an unbelievable run back to the car. Super soft fluffy and delicious snow with good visibility and that classic low angle AK winter light all day long. These days we have a beautiful sunrise that turns the sky pink from 10 AM till noon, transition, and then everything turns golden till the sun disappears again at 3 PM.
Oh yeah. And Robyn killed it.
