I don’t know what it is about being on a team that is so damn enticing. Maybe it’s an instant sense of belonging? All of the sudden you have a title, teammates, inside jokes.. Sarcastic or not it’s a hell of a lot of fun. The latest team we find ourselves on is the #americankreamteam (slogan pending) although I am pushing for “We’re the kream of the crop and we rise to the top”.

Starting the journey at Great Divide Brewing Company. I was surprised by these beers, much better than I remembered from a brief sampling last year.
Our team was founded one fateful balmy Denver afternoon as we pedaled from brewery to brewery hitting 5 in all. As far as I can tell our team is some sort of costume/climbing/beer nerding/thrift shopping team. Members include Sara, Matt, Adam, Robyn and myself. We met Matt and Adam climbing in Clear Creek one afternoon and hit it off right a way.

Black Shirt Brewing Co. only brews red ales. The most interesting of course were the red porter and stout.
Our next trip? Each of us will purchase 3 items to outfit another team member from a thrift store: pant, shirt and accessory. Then we will have a thrift store outfit climbing weekend at shelf. After that? A trip to the Everglades. Then Idaho. Gonna be busy.
Keep this up and we might need to invest in a bicycle built for two… DD up front 🙂 http://www.mydenverduilawyer.com/2012/07/01/ride-your-bicyclebut-dont-get-a-dui/
Not sure if I want a drunk dad (DD) steering my bike!
