Ahh, now we’re talking. Shelf Road again?! Another weekend of camping!? You bet. And although we are local this weekend, we are headed back to Shelf Road again for the next. It’s hard to beat the desert in the spring and fall. Clear cool nights and days where the sun feels just right but the good sending conditions are in the shade.

We've come to realize that driving the Shelf Road down from Cripple Creek (while a bit rougher on Buck) takes the same amount of time and avoids all the traffic. Plus the views aren't half bad.

This post will be light on text, but there are a couple cool things to note. Robyn and I both opened up new challenging projects! We are at the point in our training when we should be really pushing ourselves and it feels good to know that we have worked hard to get to this point. While both of us are still feeling our way back into the process and commitment of a hard outside route, we are both feeling strong and motivated.

I love climbing with Nate. Just walk until he stops, learn something cool, and only climb classics.

Last weekend was great mainly because of the huge awesome crew we had. At one point I think we rolled nine deep. We were a force to be reckoned with! One of the bonuses of having so many friends at hand is the stoke we share in each other’s achievements. Matt had his best day climbing (ever?) on Saturday onsighting a 5.12a and flashing another! Also Adam had a cruiser send of a challenging 5.11c which marked his hardest thus far this season! Projects await and the desert calls. We’ll be back sooner than we know it.
