There was a chill in the air this weekend; the mountains even saw a fresh dusting of snow. The days are definitely getting shorter; mornings are crisp and bright. It’s perfect for burrowing into oversized sweaters and adding chai to the morning coffee. And it’s the perfect time for family visits.
A few weekends ago, MK and PS made the trek over from Oregon, and while the lads took to the mountains for a three-day hiking adventure, Kat and I spent the weekend dreaming, crafting and building, hiking, and mingling with friends. It was the perfect welcome to August or maybe… the perfect transition to fall.
We spent countless hours talking about house plans and we even managed to build a compost bin. We hiked a beautiful four-mile loop in the Sawtooth Mountains that meandered through fragrant wildflower patches and over crystal clear mountain streams. We dehydrated apricots and bananas, and found ourselves searching valley-wide for that perfect Asian Pear tree.
The weekend was chock-full of adventures like these; it was absolutely perfect. Thanks, MK!
What should we build NEXT??? 🙂
Love you both!!! 😘
